Mohammed El-Yakub is a professionally qualified Broadcaster/Journalist with more than 25 years experience of on-air and field journalism and accomplished in both Radio and Television broadcasting. Perseverance and innovation in broadcast journalism has been the guiding principles.

Mohammed El-Yakub got disciplined in Mass Communication and exposed to Production/Presentation techniques from the Bayero University Kano, FRCN Training School, Ikeja-Lagos, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and Television College, Rayfield-Jos.

His broadcasting career started with Katsina State Radio, then, Katsina State Television and subsequently Principal Reporter with the Nigerian Television Authority, Network Headquarters in Abuja.

A pioneer staff of Gotel Communications Ltd at inception in 2008, Mohammed El-Yakub was the Head of Programmes (Radio arm) and rose to become the Director Radio services before his elevation to the position of Managing Director of this broadcasting giant, Gotel Communications Ltd, Yola.
